Picture Quality

A 32-inch panel with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and a refresh rate of 50 Hz is used in this TV. The W830K offers crystal-clear, finely detailed images thanks to its HD resolution. Because of the deeper blacks and brighter whites made possible by LED backlighting technology, contrast is improved. You can count on an eye-popping experience whether you’re viewing an exciting action film or a nature documentary.

Some basic HDR formats, including HDR10 and HLG, are supported by it. Four ARM Cortex A55 cores with a maximum clock speed of 1400 MHz and a Mali-G31 GPU make up the quad-core chip that powers this TV. More than half of the 16 GB internal storage that you get is used for your purposes, and you get 1.5 GB RAM.

Smart Features

Equipped with Google TV, this Sony television provides seamless integration with popular streaming services, such as Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video. The user-friendly interface allows you to browse and access a wide range of content effortlessly. Additionally, the built-in Google Chromecast enables easy screen mirroring from your smartphone or tablet.

Audio Performance

The W830K comes with built-in stereo speakers that deliver clear and immersive sound. You can customize the audio settings to suit your preferences and enjoy a more engaging audio experience.

Remote Control

The included remote control is intuitive and easy to use, providing quick access to all the TV’s features. You can also download the Sony TV SideView app to control the TV from your smartphone or tablet.

You receive a wireless remote control with Bluetooth and IR functionality. It has an excessive number of buttons and feels cluttered even if it doesn’t omit any significant keys. Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and YouTube Music have hotkeys on the remote. By tapping the relevant key on the remote, you can activate the Google Assistant and give voice requests.

Energy Efficiency

Sony has implemented energy-saving features in the W830K to reduce power consumption without compromising performance, making it an eco-friendly choice.

Sony 32” Class W830K HD LED Google TV customer reviews

A TV with a lot of choices, and a great picture.

I purchased this Sony TV because I have always had good experiences with Sony in the past. This particular model is a Google “smart” TV, but you do not have to activate it if you do not want the service. I was quite happy about this since I already have streaming services, a regular TV antenna, and two DVD players attached to the TV. If you have enough input sources, you really do not need Google TV. I was surprised by the picture when I first turned it on; it was not good at all! That was the Sony factory settings however. Since I had already spent the time setting the TV up with all my equipment, I thought I would take the time to go thru all the the factory settings, and see what picture I could get if I worked on them. Long story short, the TV is capable of producing an excellent picture, but not with the factory settings it comes with. If you take the time to change the factory settings, one by one to suit them to your own taste, you will be able to get a picture you will be more than happy with. In short the TV is a smart TV, but if you don’t need that type of service, you do not have to activiate it. This TV has numerous input options, which will allow you to connect any type of equipment you want to, to get the programing you want in the format you want it. If you want a TV which can supply a superior picture, this model can certainly work for you, provided you are willing to put in the time to change the factory settings it comes with, which are dismal. I would definitely recommend the TV for its great picture, after you make the necessary adjustments.
