Design & built
The build quality of the TCL S4/S450G is average. It’s largely comprised of plastic, and the plastic panels around the inputs bend somewhat. The V-shaped feet are really simple.The inputs are located in a wider part of the rear in the center of the TV, making them harder to reach if the TV is wall-mounted.
Ports
On the rear of the TCL S Class S4, there are three HDMI ports, one of which is capable of ARC. The set’s inbuilt speakers are adequate, but like with any other television, you need invest in a soundbar to get the most out of the experience. I used a Polk Audio soundbar over ARC and it worked well. Aside from that, typical inputs like optical audio, Ethernet, USB, and others are available.

Google TV is simply a fantastic entertainment platform. Gaming

ONE OF THE CHEAPEST TVS…BEST VALUE!!!
I Wanted the best picture for the least amount of money… it was between this TV and the Hisense A6… they both were $399. They both had an outstanding picture quality but I chose the TCL because it has those extra channels… it’s called TCL channel on your remote control. It’s own little section of Free TV and movies… the sound is decent, but I have mine hooked up to a sound bar and a subwoofer… the geek squad came in, mounted it for me Also, I have the warranty with Best Buy for extended two years. This is not our main TV for a 3rd TV. I think it’s awesome. I highly recommend this TV I have the QLED TV as well. I’m a person coming from Samsung QLED. I honestly didn’t think there was a better TV out there than Samsung. Well I stand to be corrected you don’t have to spend all that thousands of dollars for a high tech TV you can indeed get the cheapest TV, and be more than satisfied!!!

Which is better – TCL S3 and S4?
The TCL S4 is a little less expensive step, replacing the QLED display with a direct LED backlight with dynamic contrast. The 4K sets are available in 43, 50, 55, 65, and 75 inch sizes. Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR10, and HLG are all supported (no HDR10+ this time), along with all the typical inputs and accouterments seen in TVs at this price bracket. The Q6 sets all include three HDMI ports, one of which functions as eARC. And for those looking for something even smaller, like for a kitchen nook or spare room, there’s the new TCL S3.
It is available in 32 and 40 inch sizes and has a resolution of 1080p. There are just two HDMI inputs here, one of which supports ARC. (No eARC here.)
