Amazon Fire TV 55 Omni QLED Series Review
Design and Built
With its sleek and contemporary style, the Fire TV 55 Omni QLED Series will look great in any living area. This TV gives viewers an immersive viewing experience thanks to its ultra-thin bezels and small design. The overall build quality of the Amazon Fire Omni TV is respectable. The TV is nicely supported by the stand, which seems pretty solid. The metal plates on the back are sturdy and barely flex at all.
Connection
On the back panel’s left, there is a power connector; all other connections are on the right. They come with an Ethernet port, a cable/antenna connection, an optical audio output, a 3.5mm headphone jack, four HDMI ports (one eARC), a USB 2.0 port, an optical audio output, an additional 3.5mm port for the accompanying IR emitter, and a 3.5mm port for the USB 2.0.
Display
The centerpiece of this television is the stunning QLED display. With a 55-inch screen size and 4K resolution, every detail comes to life with vibrant colors and sharp contrast. Whether you’re watching movies, sports, or playing games, the visual quality is outstanding.
Picture Quality and Performance
Equipped with Quantum Dot technology, the Fire TV 55 Omni QLED Series delivers exceptional picture quality. The display features a wide color gamut and excellent brightness levels, allowing you to enjoy vivid and accurate visuals.
Thanks to the Dolby Vision HDR support, you can experience enhanced dynamic range and incredible depth, making for a truly cinematic experience at home. Combined with the powerful processing capabilities of this TV, fast-paced action scenes are smooth and fluid, with no motion blur.
Smart Features and Integration
As an Amazon Fire TV edition, this television offers seamless integration with the Amazon ecosystem. With the built-in Alexa voice assistant, you can control your TV using simple voice commands. Whether it’s changing channels, adjusting the volume, or searching for your favorite shows, Alexa makes it effortless.
The Fire TV 55 Omni QLED Series also comes with a comprehensive collection of streaming apps. From popular services like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, to a wide range of other entertainment options, you’ll have access to a vast library of content at your fingertips.
In terms of device mirroring, Fire TV behind Google TV and Roku TV somewhat. WiDi/Miracast can be used to mirror your computer screen, but neither Apple Airplay nor Google Cast are available for quick and easy smartphone or computer mirroring.
Audio Quality
This TV doesn’t skimp on audio quality either. Equipped with Dolby Atmos technology, the Fire TV 55 Omni QLED Series delivers immersive and multidimensional sound. From crisp dialogue to rumbling bass, the audio performance is top-notch, further enhancing your viewing experience.
Refresh rate and gaming
A 4K television with a 60Hz refresh rate is the Amazon Fire TV Omni. It supports HDR10 and hybrid log gamma (HLG) video, and the 65- and 75-inch variants also support Dolby Vision, but not the smaller screen sizes. It also supports high dynamic range (HDR) content. The Omni lacks a few gaming-specific features. The 60Hz screen does not allow variable refresh rate (VRR), only auto low latency mode (ALLM). Fortunately, it’s quite snappy in Game mode; we measured an input lag of only 2.6 milliseconds using an HDFury Diva HDMI matrix, making it one of the best TVs for gaming.
IR remote
The remote resembles those that came with earlier Fire TV models, such as the Toshiba C350 Fire TV 2021, almost exactly. It features built-in voice capabilities that you can use to switch inputs, open apps, or conduct content searches, but it cannot modify TV settings. You can utilize the TV’s built-in microphone for hands-free voice control.
Amazon Fire TV 55 Omni QLED Series 4K UHD Smart TV Dolby Vision IQ Customer reviews
Great value, great picture, great product!
Great value and quality product for the price point – When purchasing a (55”) TV in the $300-$400 range, your expectations should never be set high. However, this TV exceeded all my expectations and more. Picture quality is great and meets the quality of another $1000 TV I have in my home of a different brand. Sound quality is superb (not comparing it to a full surround sound system) and having the Fire TV OS built into the TV is a major plus. The TV has room for plenty of software updates that can easily expand its functionality and future proof it for a few years at least – it is also HomeKit compatible (for all my Apple fanboys) and allows me to control my TV entirely from my Home app (power, volume, etc).

Amazon Fire TV 55 Omni QLED Series 4K UHD Smart TV Dolby Vision IQ alternative
Both the 65-inch Hisense A6G and the Amazon Fire TV Omni Series use distinct panel technology, and while each has advantages and disadvantages, most consumers will find the Amazon to be superior overall. The Amazon TV is a little bit brighter and has much greater contrast and black uniformity. Any source’s judder can be removed by the Amazon TV. While the Amazon TV only has a rudimentary white balance calibration system, the Hisense offers significantly higher accuracy, even after calibration. Additionally, the Hisense provides better viewing angles. Be aware that certain A6G variations have VA panels; we anticipate that these will function more like the Amazon TV.
Conclusion
Overall, the Amazon Fire TV 55 Omni QLED Series is a high-quality smart TV that combines impressive picture quality, seamless integration, and premium audio. Whether you’re a movie enthusiast, a sports fan, or a gaming enthusiast, this television offers a captivating experience that will elevate your entertainment setup. With its sleek design and advanced features, it’s a worthy investment for anyone seeking a premium viewing experience.
