Just keep in mind to do so whenever you wish to play anything, as the lag in Movie mode increases to 111.4ms.

However, for more casual gaming, the Omni QLED is perfect, and this is the target audience for Amazon’s Luna game streaming service. For a subscription price, of course, you can connect the official Luna controller to the TV and play any of the services available titles.

Audio

If you’re looking for an excellent audio experience, you won’t really get it from the Fire TV Omni QLED. The TV actually delivered a little more bass response than I was expecting, but as is usually the case with TV speakers, bass response still wasn’t deep, and the detail in the high end wasn’t that great.

I suggest purchasing a soundbar or a set of speakers to utilise with the Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED if you have the money to do so. For instance, this TV and the Sonos Beam make a fantastic combination. If you really want bass, you could even get a Sonos Sub Mini to go with it.

Remote

Great value, great picture, great product!
Great value and quality product for the price point – When purchasing a (55”) TV in the $300-$400 range, your expectations should never be set high. However, this TV exceeded all my expectations and more. Picture quality is great and meets the quality of another $1000 TV I have in my home of a different brand. Sound quality is superb (not comparing it to a full surround sound system) and having the Fire TV OS built into the TV is a major plus. The TV has room for plenty of software updates that can easily expand its functionality and future proof it for a few years at least – it is also HomeKit compatible (for all my Apple fanboys) and allows me to control my TV entirely from my Home app (power, volume, etc).

Which is better?

A little bit better than the Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Series is the TCL 5 Series/S555 2022 QLED. Because the TCL is much brighter than HDR content, it can more effectively combat glare in well-lit environments. The TCL is also considerably better for usage as a computer monitor because chroma 4:4:4 is accurately presented, providing much clearer text.

The Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Series cannot compare to the TCL 6 Series/R646 2021 QLED. To better combat flare in a light living space and to let dazzling highlights in HDR stand out more clearly, the TCL becomes noticeably brighter. Due to its 120Hz refresh rate and quicker response time, the TCL is also significantly better for gaming because it produces smoother animation with less blur behind moving objects.
